The staff small nonprofits can't afford, and a clear view for the funders who support them.
Most small nonprofits have no development or operations staff. They miss grants they would qualify for, deadlines slip, and every organization solves the same problems alone. Impact Scout takes on that work.
Talk with us about a pilotNo new software to learn
Impact Scout works through the email nonprofits already use, with our team working alongside them. Nonprofits ask in plain language and get finished work back in their inbox, ready to use or forward.
What it does
For nonprofits
- Funding that fits: funders and opportunities matched to their mission and community.
- Sourced data for their case: needs statements built from public data, with every figure cited.
- Deadlines and reports tracked: reminders and follow-up with whoever owns the next task.
- Partners: introductions to nonprofits working on the same problems, so they build capacity together and can apply as a coalition.
For funders
- A clear view of your community: a regular report on what your nonprofits are working on, which needs are going unmet, and where organizations could work together.
- Stronger applications and reports from the organizations you already support.
Where it started
Impact Scout started in Southern Colorado, where about 20 local nonprofits now get support and use it every week. In recent months those groups have pursued funding they wouldn't have tried alone, including a youth-serving organization's application and a coalition application led by a local chamber foundation.
A pilot in your community
- Together we choose 10 to 25 of your nonprofits and agree on what success looks like.
- Before any training, each nonprofit receives a sourced needs statement for its own community.
- For six months, they use it for real work, and you receive a regular view of your community.
- At the end, we review the results together: use, applications and reports completed, grants submitted and won, and time saved.
